MANU PERU AMAZON was created to raise awareness about the importance and role that Mother Nature plays for the benefit of all human beings.
My first trip along the Amazon River was in 1985; it took me nine months, starting in the city of Belém do Pará, Brazil, and ending in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. Since then, I have been fascinated by the exuberance of this tropical forest. Without the possibility of staying, I returned to my homeland, where I spent the next seven years preparing to come back.
In 1992, I returned to Peru with a single destination: the Madre de Dios forest. My first job was supporting an NGO, which I did for five years, working as a park ranger and motorboat driver, taking tourist groups to the Reserved Zone of Manu National Park.
In 1998, I finally applied to become an official guide of Manu National Park. Since then, every year I have led an average of 30 tourist groups of different nationalities to this remarkable place.
In 2005, together with my wife, we created an agency called MANU PERU AMAZON, offering high-quality services and extensive information for nature lovers. We are trained in ornithology, botany, Amazonian cosmovision, and ecology. We also work with local people, native guides, excellent cooks, reliable equipment, and river transportation.
Our drivers have many years of experience on these jungle routes and personally ensure the quality of 4×4 transportation and all the necessary conditions for the safety of our passengers.
